She completed her Bachelor&#8217;s degree with a focus on baroque singing with Jill Feldman. Meret Roth studied communication and popular culture at the University of Zurich parallel to her music studies, where she also successfully graduated with a Master&#8217;s degree.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Meret Roth is interested in the interpretation of baroque as well as contemporary works, music theater and improvisation, and also devotes herself with great dedication to art song and ensemble singing. These include the role of Lucy in Menotti&#8217;s <em>The Telefone<\/em>, First Lady in Mozart&#8217;s <strong>The Magic Flute<\/strong>, Anne Frank (The Diary of Anne Frank) by the English Theatre Groupe of Zug, Madeleine in the sitcom <em>Fertig Lustig<\/em> (Swiss Television) and the role of Bastienne in Mozart&#8217;s <em>Bastien und Bastienne<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Meret Roth has participated in several <strong>musical theater premieres<\/strong>. These include the contemporary music theater <em>Lebewohl &#8211; gute Reise<\/em> (2019) and <em>Der unbekannte Vogel<\/em> (2015) composed by Martin Derungs, the experimental music theater <em>Gedankenspr\u00fcnge &#8211; Zu keinem Zeit betreten<\/em> (composition: Raimund Vogtenhuber) and the <em>St. John Cantata <\/em>in extended tonality by Johann Sonnleitner. At the Zurich Festival, she performed the role of Walter von der Jodelweide in a persiflage of R. Since the end of 2018, she has returned to <strong>Zurich Opera House<\/strong> as Event Manager and continues her vocal training privately with Swiss soprano Barbara B\u00f6hi.
